I don’t know her depression, or your depression - I barely understand mine most days - but if that’s how she comes to grips with her experience, she should be allowed to speak to it.  She isn’t making a sweeping statement about Depression, just her own experience.

Imagine expressing how you have learned to cope with your mental health, only to be told you’re wrong because it might not be relatable for everyone.

As the numbers grow worse in GOP led states expect to see a misrepresentation or outright lying about how many deaths resulted from COVID-19. I would hope that public outrage would lead to the states taking responsibility but fuck it. Let the streets be littered with bodies. Let the nation and the world see what

And If Miller should pull out a gun, I mean because Oklahoma is an open carry state with a permit mind you, he would likely have been shot or labeled a thug. I mean one of these days a Chad or Henry is going to run up on the wrong one and well I won’t give a damn what happens to em

I think of this EVERY time someone sings the song:

It’s a vicious circle.

I’ve always loved this one:

My favorite line on Sports Night:

I’ve confirmed that the kits contain baking soda. Beyond that, my own solution for a pale, non-lye-dipped pretzel would be hiding the surface entirely under a layer of cinnamon sugar.

Completely agreed on the worry concerning Daniel Zovatto’s performance here as Tiago Vega as he simply does not have the charisma to carry the role. He just seems lost in a lot scenes and even the crying in the stairways scene legitimately felt like someone just acting that scene.

Yes...I think we must move that way. I have a kid who is trans and a kid who is non-binary (they/them pronouns), and when I talk about the latter’s pets, I can’t say “listen to your mom!” But parent is...awkward.

I think we’ll need something creative. My NB kid was AFAB, and we used to call them “sweet girl.” I kept

Hey, you get far enough down someone’s throat, you get close to their thyroid I suppose.

Rocketman benefited from Elton John’s involvement and BR suffered greatly from Queen’s involvement. I think that’s the biggest difference between the two movies (as well as having a good director at the helm the entire time of Rocketman).

Jim Carrey. Joaquin Phoenix. Jared Leto. Christian Bale. Woody Allen. Marlon Brando.

Tell it, Olivia.

I feel like in an industry that deals with art, the babying of folks like Singer is probably even more prevelant than usual. We have so many tropes in art communities for bad-behaving people. We excuse it by calling them “tortured geniuses” or simply “difficult” and shit like that, when they are just abusive assholes

I loved Rocketman, thought it should be a musical (it would be perfect for Broadway) and was devastated it was virtually ignored by the Oscars (I’m sorry, but Rami Malek’s performance as Mercury was the worst of his career by far; whereas Taron Egerton is somehow a revelation with every single performance he gives and

I wonder how Bohemian Rhapsody would have turned out of Dexter Fletcher had been allowed to direct the movie all along instead of having it first taken away and then given back to him after Singer was fired. Bohemian Rhapsody was such a boring biopic, but Fletcher’s next biopic project, Rocketman, was absolutely delig

And then he ruined everything by turning up again.

The contrast highlights how awful American “reality” shows are. In the BBC version he was allowed to have empathy, helped the restauranteurs with enthusiasm, common sense, and at the most extreme end tough love (perhaps my favorite was asking the owner, what do you make well? Gravy? Ok, you’re a gravy restaurant now,
