A really underrated movie.

Silverado!

I hadn’t thought of the bidet option, but my friend LOVES his so this might be the time for me to purchase one! Of course I’m not sure if I’ll have an apartment to live in after the 31st, so I might hold out a week...

I always figured that the success of this movie lay in the fact that it’s a story of a pretty ordinary-looking woman—maybe not actually homely, but let’s be candid, sort of homely-adjacent—with a very handsome boyfriend.

She’s an under-rated gem. Absolutely killed it in NBC’s workplace comedy, “Great News.”

Ok get someone smart to run it and be comfortable with casting lesser known actors. Probably an impossible notion.

I am betting in the next few years we will see an Indian American wedding rom com set somewhere like New Jersey that does massive business.

KNIVES OUT is sort of this year’s MBFGW - a “good” movie that you can take your older parents to on an afternoon matinee, isn’t 2 and a half hours long, isn’t part of a giant franchise, isn’t full of explosions, and you feel kinda like you’re going against the grain by seeing it, even though it’s a huge box office…

I can’t imagine anything more Hanks than refusing to replace this unheard-of actress with someone more bankable - and being right.

I was thinking about this when watching The Exorcist a year or two ago - Jason Miller’s incredible performance and charisma, but he is not Hollywood Hot and probably would never be cast in something like this in the last decade or two.

The relationship between the two was largely what made it work for me. The family was hilarious but I really liked how mature and undramatic the relationship between the two of them was demonstrated. In my opinion, we don’t see that often enough. 

I married into giant family of North Dakota Norwegian Lutherans and this movie even spoke to us. Sometime good enough is good enough and you are correct, if a movie does not make $500 million the first weekend it is considered a failure. 

The only surprise is that Offerman (who seems lovely) didn’t build the cabin himself.

I’m more surprised that he actually has a heart. He’s never shown signs of possessing one

LW2: There are no benefits(unless you REALLY like giving bjs) and he’s not your friend. I’d recommend not being with guys who are cheating on their girlfriend to be with you, because eventually they’re going to do the same thing to you that they did to their girlfriend.

Some of the best story lines on Good Times were Willona story lines and no one could beat her timing (sorry Tiffany Haddish). When she adopted Penny and then served as the matriarch for the Evanses when Ester Rolle left I felt like she was adopting me. She will be very missed.

Ugh, I am so sorry to hear this. It is so not your fault.

As someone who relies on a rolling walker (the kind with a seat), something struck me as very odd when I first saw HW using one, besides the fact that he was suddenly using one in court. Because I’m recently disabled, I’m a bit sensitive to the idea of questioning anyone’s disability issues, BUT if he’s using a walker…

Liberal voters fleeing the coasts need to go back to the flyoverland states they originally fled to the coasts from. It might be the only way to break the GOP’s stranglehold on US politics.
