Heard and seconded. Even the stuff I've had come in from composers who ordinarily never *touch* EDM is more nuanced than the FL tracks I've dealt with in the past. Not to knock on FL, but it's either that or Joe Somebody who got his hands on GarageBand and an SM57.
Producers (and DJ's) that tour are also at the mercy of the venue promoters/owners. If you're playing a smaller club and you've got this awesome, completely unheard of set in mind and the promoter comes to you and says, "Oi, nothing but Top 40" five minutes before you go on, well...you're basically stuck going from…
