I'm actually a computer scientist. I just got the unlucky straw that put me working in analog and mixed signals of advanced testing and characterization lol. EE is too much for me.

I feel superior, yet estranged when people don't realize how cool the stuff I use is, but then become enraged when the masses "discover" the cool thing I used to like and begin to incorporate it into their lives.
I hit reply to the wrong comment, apparently. I think we're actually on the same page.
"Good" performance, not "the best" performance. If you can run games on high, would that be enough? Not max, but high.
"Let's hold photographers to the same standards as doctors and engineers."
I suppose you wouldn't be too keen on humor, what with watching The Big Bang Theory and all.
The mainstream-ness, duh.
You're so convoluted in your smugness that it's almost offensive.
"Low standards, and be open to everything"
Good question. I know that before I play basketball, while everyone else is busy stretching, I practice full jumps a few times to get the legs loosened up. In track, before we would start practicing anything (from 400m to long jumps), our coaches had us jog two laps to warm us up. To me, it's just a few "weak sets" of…

I'll state an example for weight lifting - bench press, specifically. Normally, before I hit the bench, I'll find a machine in the gym that works the chest area. I don't go full retard and do heavy weights on it; I'd say about enough weight to do 3 sets of 10-15. Then, when I hit the bench, my muscles are warmed up…
THIS! I remember my look at my Jr. High track coach when he told us to jog two laps before stretching. Who would've ever thought that grade school coaches in Texas actually knew something?
Well, sorry to say, but you are wrong.
I meant the case. The case is more on the lines of novelty ("cool case, man!") as opposed to practicality ("HEY. Give me your money! *pulls out iPhone*).
Proof.
It's sad when "technology blogs" even say that anti-virus programs aren't even "necessary" for Mac computers because they're so safe.
How dumb.
My father, while visiting San Fran, ended up getting an offer for a wristband for the Concords. When he told me on the phone, he made it seem like he was talking about new Lebrons, so I told him to pass.
