It didn't turn bad during season 11. It ended with the jump to HD, when all the episodes were somehow disguised Apple commercials, with very clumsy references and plotlines they already had. Who cares about Maude´s death anyway?! It just offered more possibilities for plots and something new. A show has to do that…
