It helps that the 488 is an evolved derivative of a car that is extremely well proven on the track. I was actually shocked to see the other two 488's drop so early on. I seriously doubt Ford would have taken a win- or maybe even a podium- if those cars ran as well as the Risi team

Seeing as how this came about because all of the teams in GTE Pro had to sign on and agree to let Ford enter before the road car was homologated, it appears none of them actually expected Ford to have a shot at winning...

Too bad nuke plants aren’t at all sources of radioactivity unless you’ve also created an accident....

“Hi my name is Lindy Susan and I would like quantity of two F135 engines for totally usual and commercial reasons for company of planes to fly fast. Please ship ASAP to Capitalist Devil’s Penis...I mean....Florida.”

This blows my mind that these systems are not foolproofed enough to be able to handle an erroneous data stream.

That was in poor taste.

There are ways that cheating could affect innocents that have nothing to do with cheat programs being installed. See the articles about people being banned in Dark Souls because they picked up a hacked item that another player dropped and it then banned them. There have been a few Kotaku stories on it and it is still

It was in the item description. I regret everything.

Never ever list something that uses the word combination “Cougar Tranny”

HOLY SHIT IT’S THE GO KART PASS FROM HEAVYWEIGHTS!

There have been flashing red warning signs about this guy for years. I believe most of his actual delivered “product” in the past few years has been work subcontracted out to other build shops with the Hennessey name on it. I’m glad to see a bit of investigative journalism on him instead of just fluff bits about the

Scary as hell thinking that a storage/networking upgrade means that hacking nuclear/tax info is now as simple as a flash drive in and out, or a single switch with planted spyware, rather than several dozen required inside men.

Haven’t we been hearing that for an amount of years that is now in the double digits?

Porsche showed the 918 Hybrid supercar in 2010. McLaren and Ferrari followed shortly thereafter. So, we have four companies producing hybrid supercars with development cycles that all started in earnest within 1-2 years of each other. Only ONE manufacturer had previous experience with production hybrid technology. Do

See my response to reidlos. Good cars are made that do not take a decade to develop. The LFA is an example of horrific mismanagement and goalpost movement. Yes, it produced a great car. No, it is not what automakers should strive for, lest they ever want to make a second generation...or make money!

See Ford GT, McLaren development, etc as counterpoints. LFA development was the previous torch holder for excruciatingly drawn out and unnecessary development cycle. I don’t think they would do the same thing if they went back to do it again. Multiple costly and needless changes. They could have basically released 2

They’re fighting Alfa Romeo for the title of “Biggest Procrastinator”. Taking this long to go from concept to production is a bad thing, even if this time, the end product was good. Having an R&D department that cannot iterate or deliver on an idea quickly means that it is inflexible to incorporating change, and very

It is an absolute blast to watch him rallycross it with NER SCCA. I’ve been joining him in the classics group as of late...

The no brake calipers thing is partly true. I saw some of the original ‘hero’ cars on display at a collection in Florida in 2013. A lot of them had big plastic or metal discs mounted outboard of the actual brakes to make it seem like they had a big brake kit. And some of them were missing the fake calipers.

When Fast 1 came out, Dom’s’69 Charger became my ‘Eleanor’ and really ignited my car passion.
