If you read the article with the notion that this action in Syria was inevitable, (using F-22's or otherwise,) I think what you come away with is enthusiasm that the F-22 was employed successfully. I myself am excited that the F-22 program is mature enough to be trusted in combat operations.

Just a comparison....The F-14 first flew in 1970 and entered its first air to air engagement 11 years later in 1981, against Libya. While development cycles seem extended, I don't think they're much different than in the past, in reality. (Ignoring the nightmare that is current F-35 development)

No. It's basically the E-Type of the skies.

No, but if you want a huge ROI, start praying for a major war and a LOT of deaths.

I will look forward to watching the 928 fail in mechanically obscure and spectacular ways.

Amazing how you can take three different factions (Assad, rebels battling Assad, ISIS) and condense them into two, and then decide Obama is now tacitly supporting Assad by.....blowing shit up all over his country without his input or knowledge?

Best quote out of this?

There are not enough "Take my money!" memes in circulation to describe how much I and my friends want a new Ford Ranger.

Is that EST or PST or whatever time Oklahoma uses?

Went over a lot of heads right there.

You have to be crazy to think that the Porsche is going to be the most reliable...

Shouldn't this have been saved for April Fools next year? This is just absurd ramblings. A new platform 3 years after the current one debuts? I guess someone let their 12 year old kid near the 'publish' button

They did this one right.

I said exactly this to myself. "While I was forced to watch Duran Duran during the Miata reveal, I can rest easy knowing that's the worst launch I will have to endure for a long time." How foolish I was, not knowing that statement would fall within DAYS.

That was quite possibly the slowest handwork on a steering wheel I have ever seen. Can we get in-car audio to confirm it was indeed Eeyore trying to countersteer his way out of that slide?

Also, that GIF is the reason GIFs exist.

This is all of my childhood redneck dreams in one glorious moment

I was being facetious. Though it would make for a car that required less upgrading out of the box in some circumstances, I think it was a smart move and an easy weight loss target!

Following that line of thought, I request the next Miata be made with three wheels to reduce the amount of work I have to do to swap sets in the paddock.

I agree with almost everything you've said. I am, however, concerned that they seemingly can't just get a tail count of what's sitting on the tarmac via satellite and match it against their chart, insinuating that some birds are either scattered at other airports or have been physically moved.
