As others have said....the transmission is a pseudo-transaxle setup that is bolted to the front of the diff, and separated from the engine by a torque tube. They're solid, well-sealed units that would be no more affected by a bad crank than the torque tube bearings, and nothing was said about those. No way you lose it…

This is the Ford dealership that took my 2012 Mustang GT out for a test drive without my permission and returned it stinking of clutch. They deserve something bigger than a Camry through their dealership facade...
