Played half an hour this morning. Loot seemed more plentiful. Enemies seemed to pack more punch (but this could be because I’m back to low level again). I saw a manhole entrance to the underground, but didn’t have time to take it.

Did Gawker sell you or something? You guys aren’t allowed to say nice things about conservatives, let alone Scalia!
“if you want the short answer, it’s that former governor Bobby Jindal boned everything”
While you’ve totally missed the joke, I will seriously say that Bernie’s lack of desire for gun control is a plus for some of us. Maybe you hate it, but some of us don’t want it, and are glad he’s not really interested in spending political capital to pursue it.
My wife is also older (33-34 when all this happened), so maybe that had something to do with it. Definitely agree that holding the news for a while is the best policy.
Have you had issues with it “sticking”? My wife was pregnant, or at least had the usual medical symptoms and signs of being pregnant, between our first and second kids. But after like a few weeks, the pregnancy kind of just went away, with all the medical signs just kind of fading away. It was a really weird episode…
Or Israel - who, incidentally, used the Finnish Valmet as the starting point for the production Galil rifle. :)
China has the same problem. Complain as you will about US foreign policy, but it sure seems like China’s neighbors pick the US over China every time. (Well, excepting North Korea.)
Pretty much. The promised inclusion of clan support down the line will also probably have some impacts on DZ interactions.
Let me tell you that from what I experienced in the beta, this game is great and I had a good time. But I cannot tell you about the whole game yet, hence the statements about “potential”.
They are going to need to tweak the DZ mechanics, I think. The whole “looter escape via boundary” thing will be gone in the full game (thank G-d), but ganking some guy and extracting the loot on the helicopter the victim called in is pretty stupid. But they’re not too far off in terms of balance, otherwise.
I was a little annoyed about how, say, an M44 hits so much harder than an M1A. In reality, they’re going to do about equal amounts of damage. Yeah, you gotta bend things so you have a progression system, I know... just not intuitive.
Yep. I assumed the game was going to suck due to the development hell it had been through, but the beta was surprisingly engaging. I am little nervous about weapons progression running out too quickly - felt like it came on pretty fast during the beta - but the rest of it felt very promising. As a gun guy IRL, I…
Yes. Historical analog: Imperial Japan in WWII. Their navy’s strategy was “Kantai Kessen” (“decisive battle”). They absolutely wanted a huge, winner-take-all battle to decide control of the Pacific. We gave them their battle in Leyte Gulf, and we smashed their fleet.
I agree with everything you just wrote. Dust 514 was a game with crazy potential that was basically killed by half-assed support and reneging on the Eve integration. They should have started with “how does this integrate into Eve”, and then built the game around that. Let me take employment with a corp to go invade a…
Isn’t 2000 yen like, seventeen bucks?
I’m going to relate the advice that Forza Motorsport 4 gave me: you only have so much friction in your driving situation. You can use it to accelerate, brake, or turn. When you use too much friction, your car goes out of control. In a situation like “snow and ice”, your car has damned little friction, and you run out…
“I am having too much success banging random women found on Tindr, and not enough success banging random women found in bars.” Rough life, man. Rough life.
The P90 is an excellent PDW, but if you’re going to a gunfight, you take a real rifle. 5.7x28 has poor barrier penetration performance, isn’t good at long distances, and has lethality issues. 5.56x45, with modern ammunition, is a much better choice.
A master bedroom addition might be low ROI, but I’ve come to appreciate the concept quite a lot since having kids. When we’ve got our house paid off in ten years, we are definitely going to be looking into raising the roof and putting in a second floor (well, third if you count the finished basement).
