In workshop mode, you point over a settler, and then assign them a supply route. You then get to share supplies between those two settlements. All settlements in the same network can share supplies.

Yes, it’s very unfortunate that the settlement/crafting system design really forces you to fast-travel. I think that if they had automatic supply lines between settlements and workshops, that would have cut way back on my fast travel. (Albeit at the cost of some more suspension of disbelief, especially at workshops

Nice review. I think the game’s biggest flaw, besides the crash bugs, is really the story pacing. It’s just too damn slow until you get to Diamond City. The Museum of Freedom sequence, which is genuinely pretty awesome, should have come a bit later. I get why they did what they did, but it didn’t work well.

More than that, you think a baby has never choked to death at home? You think your average mom or dad has any friggin’ clue how to deliver infant CPR? Hell, we went to classes before our first, and I was terrified when we brought that baby home. Trusting him to professionals who we had met and vetted was a sweet

My plan this year is Amazon and whatever digital deals that XBL or PSN offer. Gamestop is underwhelming. Microcenter is still a possibility, but their ad has not leaked yet.

Doing it once is an experience, and it was worthwhile in the sense that I’d have the story of doing it.

So, just so we’re clear: the main character is slinging around laser rifles and handheld MIRV launchers, and you’re focused on being able to modify power armor because the character _might_ not have learned to do so as a military man (we have no info on what they did, AFAIK). You’ve already suspended your disbelief in

Did you miss the part in the intro where you’re a military vet? Some hobo, no, I would not expect that. Military veteran? Why, yes, I might actually expect him to know how to maintain power armor.

Don’t feel bad, I did the exact same thing. Good news is, getting back there from a new character didn’t take long.

I feel like it’s balanced by the fact that you’re not wearing it 24/7 like in previous games. Yeah, I’ve got my power armor early... but it’s essentially a consumable resource. Same sort of deal with the Minigun... sure, I’ve got it, but I don’t have unlimited ammo. Hell, I can barely keep a .308 fed early on.

Could not agree more with this article. Power armor feels totally right in this game, and the method of introduction is suitably epic.

Yep. But, realistically, they were never going to be able to hit all the high points in the first release - lack of multi-disc support alone pretty much guaranteed it.

Hydro Thunder Hurricane is the best. I put a spare 360 at my folks’ house for usage when we bring the kids up, and HTH gets a ton of playtime. I assume I can just shove the save up onto the cloud for future usage.

Daikatana’s marketing was masterful and effective. EVERYONE knew about that game. Ion Storm was a bunch of rockstars - they had a movie theater, and that woman who was in Playboy.

In a completely non-sarcastic sense, I am excited. I really have wanted to play Dragon Fin Soup since I saw it at PAX Prime 2014. Magika 2 also sounds cool.

If you ever plan on watching a TV in the dark, you need it in your life. If you have EVER called your TV setup “a home theater”, you need this, or something similar.

I understand where you’re coming from. However, I manage/lead software projects with budgets in the tens of millions for a living, and was a software developer for a decade before that. My opinion is born from experience, albeit not as a game developer. (And, yes, I’ve done those delightful 3 month death marches to

Not only do I remember that game, I LOVED IT. I used to play it with my PowerVR card.

Thank you. I still think further tools investment would have been helpful for Bungie, given the article.

Could you explain to me why the UE4 comparison is invalid?
