that was definitely a big issue, when I went back and replayed all 3 games and actually paid attention to the mythology and finer lore points of the XIII trilogy i realized “holy shit, there’s some good stuff here, shame it didn’t shine through.”

Something about this games use of color just really bugs me, like the pic of the planet where apparently space is a ridiculous pink/purple and those outdoor mishroom planet shots look like everythings either conforms to the green palate or muted.
