Ta! Wasn't sure how well I articulated that. Nearly mentioned the $180k wardrobe scandal but wasn't sure how to fit into my overall point... I'm sure Clinton has a decent wardrobe budget, but it certainly gave the impression that not only was Palin trussed up like a Barbie doll, she took advantage of it.

I'm pretty sure that this is what is going through my kitties' walnut-brains when they dream.

Oooh, interesting point. I think the difference is that the GOP (with Palin's complicity) made her looks a key selling point of her persona. She's an attractive woman, and I don't blame her for employing her attractiveness as a part of her arsenal, but she and the Republican party relied on her looks as an actual

My hair is far too short for scrunchies, but didn't she used to rock the Alice bands? I am on board with your proposal.

Great responses, and interesting perspective. I'm not entirely clear what WWP's issue is, but I don't think you have any need to defend yourself against an accusation of bigotry. Just wanted to let you know others of us have read your replies, and you should engage with the more nuanced commenters who have responded

Just watched 'Magic Mike' tonight, and my McConaughey love is sealed forever. There's one bit where he's wearing a bathrobe with horrific bleached hair and he looks like some crazed Madam and it is AMAZING. Can't wait to see 'Killer Joe.' And I hope he gets the best damn cheeseburger in the world.

I have it on first-person authority (from my friend who works in the London Penguin office) that Pippa wrote the book herself. She worked with editors, obviously, and she might have been better-off with a ghostwriter, but she did the graft, for better or worse.

Those are brills, thanks for the links. LOVE the surfer advert. It gave me a chill, it was so strange and unexpected.

You know, if it suits you, you are aware of potential Sperm Lip connotations, and you totally rock it, I say all power to you. Don't let some random (like me) take it away from you. You know better than anyone what suits you! *Fist Bump*

Frosted lipstick = Sperm Lips. Moe Tkacik’s mom called it.

I'm an expat too and I sure as hell vote, because I am a U.S. citizen and (unlike most other countries in the world) I still pay U.S. tax even though I am a non-resident.

The article isn't dismissing the situations you described. It's just pointing out that not EVERYONE feels that way, and that the sources used in the article were particularly one-sided. You could, very fairly, make the same point if she cited four sources of women who had NO regrets about their abortions.

Thank you for that!!! Had not seen it. God, I adore Catherine Tate and her makeup/wig/costume/teeth artists. Daniel Craig just got another +10 sexy points he didn't even need.

Was that good for you? That was SO good for me. Unlike this dude, I have no judgment about how he chooses to live his life. I think it's great he met someone as narrow-minded as himself and wish them the best of luck.

NO. FUCKING. WAY. Can you provide a solid link to this so I can firebomb the inboxes of everyone I know? Jaw. Dropped.

Yeah, that was absolutely disgusting. God knows what her people thought the benefit of this farce would possibly be to her image, but I actually feel a lot more sympathetic to her now. I don't think she's a good or nice person, but she is definitely a troubled person who does not deserve this sort of treatment,

He doesn't make you all look bad, he makes himself look bad. This doesn't alter my perception of marines; it makes me hope that the government provides him with the treatment he needs, but also that he take full responsibility for his actions.

YES. That's exactly what I thought. I've been saying for a couple of years that I think it's bad for you, and now I can actually cite something.

I think there should be a Secretary of Sexual Health post, and Savage, with his network of advisers, should get it.

Excellent deployment, I thought. Spread the pain!
