There's also a rotating character list. They rotate daily so you have the chance to try all the characters before you pay a cent. The review fails to mention this key feature, and justifies the F2P method they chose.

Yes, $20 gets you the full game - the 6 characters at launch, Spinal in January, and Fulgore with the Arcade/Story modes in March. the $40 version is for all that plus original KI costumes, extra accessories, and the original KI game (s).
