It scares me that MSRP on some FCA models creep higher and higher and yet the service experience stays the same. For anything over 50g’s you’d expect a whole other level of attention and yet a CPO 3 series from 2006 seems to get better treatment than a 2016 GC. It will be interesting to see if there will be any

I agree. While my overland has a few things that could be done better, im very satisfied. How do you find the service centers by you? Ours in NJ are just ok.

I don’t have an issue paying between 60,000-100,000 for a true LR/RR competitor. Im sure it may take a generation but Jeep will churn out something interesting.

Id stay away from Maserati cause of build quality (not sure how close a dealer is). In NJ they are popping up but still not the most convenientnt to get to.

Really cannot wait to see how the design language finds its way down the model lineup. Would love to see a proper a4 alternative from them.

Always amazed me how this was technically a bigger car but my 07 GC had way more seating room. The sunroof in this barely made it past the drivers head. Was certainly an interesting idea, and the design was cool but the actual follow through was shit.

How about a Mini variation? My neighbor has typically had a manual in her driveway. Went from an allroad to two suvs and now a manual Mini that she seems really excited about. Has three kids, one of which drives, but it seems like it works for them. I believe hers Is a countryman.

Must have missed it! Thanks pal!

Is there a Jalopnik writer/user vetted dashcam list? That could be a nice article. Given the gawkermedia (whats it called now?) trend of pushing lists of gear for some referral commission I see this as a home run.

Thoughts on Buick needing to update their emblem? I think the three shields would look way better without the circle around it. Like how Caddy got rid of the crown/branches.

So cool. There’s something inherently warming when it comes to finding a treasure. Regardless of where anyone on this earth comes from, and their beliefs, I think it’s a feeling that everyone can agree on. That said, fuck nazis.

So disagree all you want, and this is a reach, but the “hawk” park keeps me thinking that this will be more capable than the SRT. I wonder if we’re going to see a stronger engine go into the SRT a-la the hellcats and then something that walks the line of performance and capability in the track hawk, think an overland

Crazy how much a seat makes the car. I’ve had my grand cherokee for a little over 2 years and I still cant find a comfortable position.

The sport model looked pretty cool, as did the wagon. Prefer less chrome anyway.

What if the culprit is registered out of state? I’ve been under the impression that for some modifications, if the car isnt from “around here” technically its not kosher to hold them to standards their own state may not.

Im strangely interested in this. I currently have a Grand Cherokee and use it for odd jobs, shuttling clients around, tailgating for various events and long road trips. Something like this definitely catches my eye. Curious to see what the price points across the range of trims will be.

lol at six figures for the wagoneer. Not a chance im getting one of those only to get a caliber as a loaner car. They are going to have to really incentivise the dealer network to upgrade if upscale is going to be a reality.

I should have been more clear.. As i’m passing on the far left and they are passing on the far right.

The real question is, when it inevitably passes me on the right going 30+ miles over the speed limit (hell even the common speed) on the GSP will I simply shake my head and let out a sign or say to myself “they’re a douche, but that doesnt make it any less of a nice car”.
