I have never touched any console before the PS2 Era. Though two weeks ago, I went got to play my very first NES, and it was Super Mario 3. I almost cried it was so awesome.

Yeah I am waiting off too, but not for the same reason as you. I just have WAY too many games in my backlog I need to play, primarily from this gen, but even dating back to my PS2. It would only hurt me to buy a next gen console and then never play the games I already payed for.
