100% agree - the translator was fantastic!

Great! That's just great! Now I want to be the filling in a delicious Sherlock sandwich...

I know, it's almost a Neville Longbottom-type transformation.

Huh, I HAVE heard the word "pedik" used, but always assumed the insult meant "pedophile." Probably because at the time the word "goluboi" was used more often by teenaged boys.

When I lived in Russia, about 20 years ago, the slang term for gay was голубой (pronunciation - "goluboi," literal translation: baby blue) and педераст meant pedophile. I've never heard of anyone using the latter to describe the former. Granted, I was 15 at the time and pretty sheltered.

Love their bras! They are super comfy, hold the girls very well and last forever. I also like that Aerie has a decent selection of bras without padding. I have enough in padding of my own, thank you very much!

Seconded! Great show. Sadly, it's been so long since I've seen it, I've forgotten that Idris Elba was in it.

No, you are not. Sexy.

Yesterday, today and forever.

He's quite dreamy, isn't he?

If they are Orthodox, then it's January 7th, actually. But to those who want her dead or intimidated it wouldn't matter whether it was Catholic/Protestant Christmas, Orthodox Christmas or any other holiday on ANY religious or secular calendar.

Wait a minute, the Face of Boe didn't make the list? How is that possible? It's an outrage, I tell you, an outrage!

You mean, this one?

Confirm. Sort of. I don't much care about the ring (except for the one time when the ring and ALL the wedding jewelry was designed and made for the bride by the groom, who's an artist). But I do love all the sappy proposal stories, because I am a die-hard romantic... still, sadly.

So happy for them both! So happy, in fact, that I followed Seth Anderson on Twitter and sent my congrats.

Seconded!

I'm actually not sure whether Pompeii was considered to be a metropolis in those days or not. But to answer your questions, it's Hollywood. Whoever made this movie probably went to the school of Michael Bay where no matter what happens, something always, always explodes.

Actually, there were survivors that escaped the destruction on boats across the bay to Misenum, thanks to the efforts of Pliny the Elder who used the Roman navy's ships in a rescue operation. Sadly, he died bringing people to safety. His nephew wrote about it.

I've been trying to figure this out for a while now and personally, I think it's the combination of the eyes, cheekbones and incredible voice. At least that's what does it for me. Plus, amazing actor. Love him.
