His statement about the Justice Department is chilling, and though this may be an exaggeration, is a borderline impeachable offense. Structurally, he’s largely correct, I suppose, to some extent. But he’s duty bound by his constitutional oath to serve the constitution, and he’s also bound by the rule of law, neither

Don Lemon said last night “We were here before Trump, and we will be here once he leaves”.

I moved on the Justice Department like a bitch. But I couldn’t get there. It had all those checks and balances. Then all of a sudden I see lady justice, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.

I mean, everyone grew up in a society that has taught bias and racism. Even if you don’t think you’re racist, you have at the least racist impulses.
I try to support black activism, I try to keep black Americans included in my activism and I try to look at my own bias and correct my behaviors.
Still my first reaction to

Yeah, you show up looking respectable and it makes it harder to treat you like a thug. I mean, the police still will, but the public optics of it look bad for them.

I also think he’s greatly mistaken as to which side he represents in his 1930s analogy.

This list is wrong because it does not contain Maxine Waters so I’m gonna go ahead and reclaim my time.

I’m in an airport now, and I laughed aloud when the shuttle went past the entrances that still said “Frontier”. Womp womp. Toy customer service for a toy airline.

I was totally side eyeing as I typed it - does that count! LOL.

Why is everyone so confused about this? White Evangelical and Catholic ladies are a whole ‘nother breed. Abortion and “religious freedom” (AKA getting more Christianity paid for by taxpayers, avoiding having to make cakes for LGBT couples) are more important than pedophilia.

It probably started all innocently, but then the turf wars began...

They were thinking “the best part of waking up is white privilege in your cup.”

They are thinking what I heard a woman from Alabama say in an interview:

I heard them on NPR. They were thinking about abortion. The reason evangelicals will take literally anyone willing to fight abortion is because they think that pedophilia, rape, racism and genocide are not nearly as bad as abortion. Because they’re insane. It’s a single-issue vote. They’ve been brainwashed by their

As Wallflower already pointed out, it’s because they’re pro-life. That was the big sticking point. The Republicans can trot that out and win votes no matter what else they do, no matter how they screw people. And there’s a whole lot more under the pro-life stance than just wanting to ban abortion, unfortunately, so

Look at the age group of voters, Lots of these white women voters in Alabama were elderly.. As much as there are battles between African American and Whites, there are battles between young and old...

They are thinking that stopping other women from getting abortions is literally the most important possible issue in any election.

Well, maybe it’s not “white women” it’s “white Christian women” a demographic I’ve never understood.

Abortion. For most of the ‘Bama voters who went for Moore, there was ever only one issue for them.

Well, I hate to stereotype, (but I guess when 60% of something does something it might not be a stereotype) but a LOT of those Alabama women just do what their husbands tell them to do. My aunt used to be one of them.... happily she was part of the 40% that did NOT vote for Moore.
