Maybe... I agree that “passed away” may not convey the issue at hand, but I doubt the family would want everyone talking about “brutal self-murder.” It’s about tact and sensitivity. Im also concerned that it could just give people ideas about how to take their own life, or be triggering for survivors of abuse / trauma…
