OK, this gif has convinced me to try watching again. The first two episodes of this series left me really indifferent to everybody.

But no matter how annoying Skye was, at least I was invested in May and Coulson by the second episode of AOS. I actively don’t give a shit whether Danny or anyone else in Iron Fist wins, loses or dies. Well, except Claire, but I tapped out before she showed up.

OK, holy fuck. Even as a white woman, I find that super offensive and strangely clueless. Like, OF COURSE people who experience racism on a daily basis feel resentment when they see an example of it. And OF COURSE they are entitled to feel that way.

I didn’t find Rebecca’s family very confusing; I can think of at least two ways her family would wind up looking like that, and neither one would be relevant or interesting to explore as part of a story about her experiences in college.
