I think that’s pretty much the definition of “evil just to be evil.” Sauron has no motivation or even a discernible goal other than “kill the Westrons.” Then what? Sit around in his tower being a flaming eye? Encourage the Orcs to form a democratic republic?

Oh god I hate to be the Jungle Book nerd, but in Kipling’s story, Shere Khan is lame and can’t hunt well, which leads to his preying on village cattle and becoming a man-eater. In other words, he’s supposed to be kind of mangy looking.

All the excitement I do not feel for SW2.0, BvS, ST:Beyond and Avatar 2 is building towards this movie. Do not disappoint me, James Gunn.
