My Mk6 GTI is running on a CAN-BUS system... 7,000 miles in and I haven't had any electrical issues, KNOCK ON WOOD. I have heard of some really messed up electronic gremlins that live in our ECUs. As in, pushing an input button and having the rear left window go down, only if you push it 3 times, etc...
