That's an incredibly expensive way of misinterpreting "Should you play this game".

As many have noted, remember all the cynicism when Heath Ledger was announced as the Joker? Affleck could very well be amazing. This is still hilarious, though.

Amen, brother. I'm a BIG Elder Scrolls fan, and dodgy mechanics / internet hatred aside, I was really looking forward to this.

"We feel that putting pay gates between the player and content at any point in game ruins that feeling of freedom,"

Yeah, I had that same thought. I've played plenty of f2p MMO games, and I've never once spent more than a couple of bucks a month, if that.

This type of experience is best paired with a one-time fee per month, as opposed to many smaller payments that would probably add up to more than $14.99/month any way.

Don't personify Valve into some dickwad. Companies don't point at their fans (see: money)and laugh. That's some really skewed world views, buddy.

The Logitech MX518/G400. There is no better mouse.

Koopa didn't pay his protection fee to the Toadstool Cartel. As a result, the enforcers were sent around.

Lol, thats what I thought this was about too when I first opened it.

Well, I'm not really sure that the two cater to the same demographic... Still, with recent Steam sales boosting their numbers, I wouldn't really call it dead.

EA is giving all of their share to charity.

Well, I won't be sleeping tonight.

It is a really fun game and worth the money, the only downside I found are the visuals, the engine looks dated and doesn't create any atmosphere at all. The world is flat and static, thankfully the music is great and adds a ton of tension.

Ahh yes, the "damage".

Knee-jerk reactions from the fanboyish gamer community don't amount to much considering the fanboys are heavily in the minority.
