I loved that little knowing nod Geralt makes to the player. It was so very subtle and just a gentle reminder that yeah, we as players have been through a lot too. Lots of games do that, but it never felt quite as classy until now.

The game is actually pretty easy, though I only ever play with the realms deck. You gotta get those spies, when they’re used on you decoy them to your hand and use them again. When they die on your side, ressurect them with the nurse or yennefer. More cards you can use the likelier you’ll win.

Right, it’s not inherently unfair or anything. It’s just a combination of a bunch of game-design decisions that I believe make for a more frustrating and actively manipulative experience. I don’t want to see this stuff popping up in more retail-priced games if I can help it.
