I wish I would have written your entire reply for you, it would have been so easy.
And how is you saying “Of course she’s Japanese” in reply to a comment that said all of the same things I did, not more or less admitting it? Hold on to your beliefs, as illogical as they are (simply because logic, not facts of course,

Yet in the post directly prior to mine you all but admit it’s set in Japan. You’re an intentionally argumentative person and still somehow (seriously, how?) are dodging the only point I was making, which is that race and setting are extremely important in a story.
Also to say that “It’s bullshit and means nothing” is

I’m not sure if you’re arguing or just trying to be contradictory. Culture plays one of the biggest factors in any narrative. You missed my point and ignored one portion of my very, very small post just to be a prick. So good on you.
And if you care at all (you don’t), it takes place in Japan, they are Japanese

My read of her in that scene is nervous, no doubt about it. Trembling in fear, no, but definitely nervous.

I remember a conversation in which Batou asks the major why she chose a female body in the first place, commenting on it’s weaknesses compared to a larger male body. I always took that to mean that her actual gender is meant to be left completely ambiguous. Granted I never looked into the story outside of the anime.

Not arguing either way here, but race of the cast and the setting of the story are absolutely not in any way, shape, or form tiny inconsequential details... ever. Not even in Ghost in the Shell.

The folks commenting here obviously don’t know how good a game Gravity Rush is.

It is clearly an upgrade, and I totally agree about more stoic look! Also the new look appears to have removed the crazy amount of foundation she must have been wearing in 2015.

Why’s this a problem? She’s clearly white, and in the movie her whole family looks heavily European. The only different I’m seeing is less make-up (were we looking at a real person, anyway).

Am I allowed to comment on this? It’s a year old but brought back up? (Love the article btw, it points out one of very.. very few good things about Destiny)
Yor was a force for good because of the original, far superior story of Destiny where the Traveler is an evil being tricking the world into thinking it’s their

And he was serious when he needed to be, it was actually pretty well written. =D

Don’t worry Ashley! I’m comin’ for yuh!

Delete.

EDIT: That does work, doesn’t it?

Been waiting for folders for ages, and I never would have known if not for this article. You’re doing God’s work.

Well technically she was using him anyway, if I remember correctly. But the users always die in the end. = (

The Earth Defense series easily ranks among the most fun I’ve ever had in a video game. And it’s the only series I’ll purposefully play on the hardest difficulty, if for nothing else than to marvel at how insignificant my struggles are.

No... no you can’t. If Thurman Thomas from Techmo SuperBowl is in this, the world might just end.

Do not pursue Lu Bu.

His loss.

Hey now, Phoenix did have to defend a guilty party, once. =)
The writing was pretty excellent in it also.

This makes me miss Extreme-G III so badly. They definitely took inspiration from the series, and it looks lovely.
