All I can think about when I see this picture is the new mission impossible. It wasn't even that good, but that building is seared into your memory.

I don't understand how "Try hard" can be an negative comment when speaking in terms of a band trying hard to make good music. Which they do...in spades.

Lady Innocent, check it.

I'm stretching a little..lol, but I seriously don't get how people can be excited or appreciate a game like this when it's obvious its production value was whatever a guy could dig out of his pocket.

Would it have killed her to not pronounce her name "Leelith" even once? I cringed every time she said it.

Can't stand multiple endings. I like closure in my games, and the more ending there are mean the less closure I'll get.

I can never get over that this guy does Hentai.

No one has really explained to me why this game has the same graphics engine as Crash Bandicoot. These aren't deliberate graphics like No More Heroes charming character models and backgrounds, these are just plain terrible.

Almost always on Normal.

I don't get it, what's the problem?

Buff samurai comes dangerously close to redeeming this.

Yeah he stole certain aspects of the identity of Zack, a close friend of his that was a soldier. He really just told everyone he was in soldier, and took his place in certain stories of the past. But his identity remained largely the same I think, other then being depressed a lot of the game because of what happened

The creation of Kotaku Core and this thread are complete contradictions.

Yeah, I like the idea of Core. I hate that it's necessary, but it doesn't seem like there's a a negative attached to it at all.

I agree with the sentiment that Kotaku Core is a kids table for the members who can't handle anything but what THEY want on "THEIR?" website. Kind of like a little baby who wants fish sticks but gets spaghetti, he whines and moans and knocks the food off the table until he gets his fish sticks.

Cloud was Cloud, he just wasn't a member of Soldier. He also has some of the best character development of any game, ever. Now I agree with you, I'm not defending RPG heroes as the staple of male main characters, I'm just pointing out Cloud was a bad choice as your example lol.

It's so simple when you think about it. How could Arnold NOT have something to do with the events of Silent Hill.

Well in that case, I guess I'd like to argue that there were good characters other then him, most of them actually came through a lot brighter then most eastern RPGs. But the game had massive unavoidable flaws, so it's probably not worth it.

Haha, that's true. The archmage being corrupted was kinda bittersweet, but he had pretty obviously lost faith in the world. Plus I doubt it mattered when it was open season on murdering any mage you can find at the end of the game.
