I saw the Dixie Chicks in concert this summer and during Goodbye Earl the background video was rapid fire images of headlines and pictures of famous abusers. I think the men in the crowd were noting the location of the nearest exit in case of a riot.

lol extra points for ignoring the dozens of replies listing just this type of song so you could double down on your misogyny, that’s some commitment there, little soldier

{Comes out of hiding} The anonymity of the internet allows me to admit that I like The Thunder Rolls by Garth Brooks. Yes, I am embarrassed by this fact, but not so embarrassed that I don’t sing along when the song comes on. {Goes back into hiding}

Your self-pitying confirmation bias is STUNNINGLY large. Like, confirmation bias the size of a planet. I’m actually embarrassed for you right now. Not as embarrassed as I am angry that you’re trolling in this way, but pretty damn embarrassed.

P.S. Poor, poor baby. If only there was more than one site on the internet,

Nothing is tackier than a car with an aftermarket spoiler.

Johnnie Cash, Cocaine Blues - references killing a partner, not an ex

You say “taxiway”, I say “alternative runway.” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Conway is getting iced out. Stephen Miller seems to be where it’s at now.

Why does everyone think millenials are so young?? Our youngest are in their mid 20s and oldest in their mid 30s. We had landlines. I remember getting told off (a lot) as a child for listening in.

I’m trying to remember back to the days when I used a landline. I have a little sister and I definitely caught her listening in on convos with friends a few times, mostly because I could hear her breathing or random background noises. I think you can also hear a faint click when someone picks up another line.

I watched this last night and was fascinated. I was also struck by how he seemed to have more patience with the the KKK members than with other black men. He was playing respectability politics with Rose and was completely unwilling to listen to Rose’s POV. And that made Rose unwilling to listen to him

“Pianist Daryl Davis estimates that since the early ‘90s, he’s collected around 25 robes that were worn by Klansmen, each representative of a mind he’s changed and a life he’s converted to anti-racism

I’m not disputing the notion of a racial disparity here, but do you REALLY think Ray Rice got into trouble?

Hard to imagine that the wife of a billionaire would get enticed by a ‘free trip to Chicago’, especially since ‘free’ means you have to go on TV and talk about being abused.

I don’t know. I just think society thinks that just because we aren’t actually killing Jews in furnaces anymore and because Israel has a dodgy reputation that Antisemitism isn’t a thing.

I find the defence of the two Indians as “just a joke” that some are doing really revealing.

So a dude with more money than most people see in their lives chose to take advantage of economically-disadvantaged individuals for the sake of some anti-Semitic “humor,” and is now surprised that there are consequences that go with that kind of behavior.

Got it.

Having read some of the comments on the previous article

Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby” sold millions worldwide while Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” sold a tiny fraction of that. Do you also think “Ice Ice Baby” is “objectively” not even on “Hallelujah’s” level?

This is off topic, but I love that red sequined dress on Beyoncé. It’s an awesome color for her and she looks amazing! I feel like she doesn’t wear red that often, but she could.
