The times I have been pulled over and I just tried to drive 1/2 mile further to get to a place with a wide shoulder the cop car was up on my ass about ready to hit my bumper, and honking. And I am white. I think a lot of cops think that ANY time that someone doesn’t do immediately what they ask, it is “Resisting or

That sad part is that appealing to his vanity will totally work. Smart of the town.

Actually the Segway is just starting to change the world.

All those solo wheels and hoverboards, and mini segways people are starting to commute using? All based on Segway’s self balancing tech. Same with all the crazy balancing robots, etc.

Pre-Covid, everyday someone on Segway inspired tech whizzed by me. Sometimes

But we already have that in the form of the Logical Fallacy Referee, now we just need them to highlight biases :)

Seems pretty obvious. He is an extremely wealthy person who is telling people things they don’t want to hear. Of course they are going to paint him as the Boogeyman.

I don’t know if you are old enough to remember or know this, but there was a time in the mid-90s when Bill Gates was almost universally considered EVIL.

We have all worked with crazy people in professional settings. It is a rare day when there isn’t one batshit insane person that I have to work with for years on end. You know the guy, He is the one that everyone breathes a sigh of relief when he is fired or laid off.

I am sure it is no different in research

Honestly, I don’t know that we can say it would have been better without the Orange idiot in charge. We can be pretty sure his likely xenophobic shutdown of travel from Asia probably helped us as much as his idiotic denial of the virus being a big deal has harmed us. I would say the one thing we can truly blame Trump

While I do still believe it is likely that this naturally occurring virus, accidentally escaped from a lab (it just fits the puzzle of China’s behavior around the whole thing, way better than other explanations at this point). I don’t believe it was an engineered virus with a malicious intent.
To quote Hanlon’s Razor

The video telling people not to wear masks because it will make the virus worse is dangerous, but on the other hand, them implying that it is an engineered virus from a lab, you would think would keep people staying home.

But if telling people not to wear masks is dangerous (which I agree it is), then the CDC should

While I don’t believe that there is a massive conspiracy, I don’t believe it was an engineered virus. I believe in wearing masks to reduce exposure. I even am eager for contact tracing so that we can keep track of who came in contact with whom (hopefully with strong privacy implementations) so that we can reduce the

Well technically it was a conspiracy, since he had people procuring him underaged girls.

You forgot to mention that the Canadian Stormtrooper incident also took place at a SANDWICH SHOP!

I sense a new conspiracy brewing. Somethign about how the armed uprising is being coordinated by sandwich shop owners, that are on a secret committee of 2nd amendment sandwich shop owners out to overthrow the deep state!

You spread the chain stays like 19mm back at the wheel hub. Of course it wasn’t gonna make a significant difference for tire clearance.

Without doing the trigonometry homework, I would guess your tweaking of it (if it was perfectly linear and didn’t bend the chainstays) made it so you had at most 0.5mm difference in

As soon as the Work From Home edicts were ordered, I snagged my Brio camera from the office, and went out and bought the Blue Snowball mic before they sold out. I also bought dual monitors, and dragged a proper PC home. I already had a room with good background lighting.

All my coworkers mocked it and thought I was a

Its like you haven’t even understood what I am saying. Nobody is claiming that Sweden hasn’t had more per capita deaths than countries that are social distancing.

The argument is that when you stretch out the social distancing over a year or two (which is optimistic for a virus) that the US, Finland and Denmark will

Maybe you need a reminder of what “Flattening the Curve” is. I mean it was like a month ago where it was half of the posts on social media.

I don’t get your math.

If Sweden currnelt has 156 deaths per million, that is equivelant to the US having 51,480 deaths. Currently the US has 48,900. So Sweden is doing barely worse than the US on deaths per million currently.

Now if we take the assumption that 25% of the population of Sweden has had it and take that

Colds kill people all the time. You know all those pneumonia deaths? The vast majority of them started out as secondary infections to a cold or flu.

They are supposedly way more accurate than the nasal swab infection tests. And we have been relying on those for all this data.

That isn’t a metric to determine if their approach is sound. It is still entirely possible that Finland will have the same per capita deaths, all it takes is for Finland to take 7x as long to get to herd immunity or vaccination.
