Hoping for a Project STEAM sequel or a new Pikmin game. I’d give my eyeteeth for them not to announce any more re-releases.

100%. always.
I love arcade-y score attack games and don’t mind minimalist retro-inspired visuals (I’d love another Geometry Wars game) so I’m intrigued by Breakout Recharged... but I was pretty unimpressed by Centipede, so I’m not sure if I want to try this out. Anyone liking this series of reboots so far?
At this point, I feel like the only that makes sense, would really affect the gaming world and is remotely possible might be Platinum Games. I still think that’s pretty unlikely, though.
I’ve known almost no households who’ve had multiple PS’s or Xboxes at one time (not to say that none exist)... I know a ton, though, who have multiple Switches. I feel like even more than portable systems, it feels like a personal possession and the Switch Lite helps to play off of that impression, too.
As someone who sunk dozens of hours into Hollow Knight and over 150 into Hades, I will happily take the ‘simplicity’ of those games over surface-oriented bloat of most of what I see coming from AAA studios.
That sounds like a decent enough compromise. I hope everyone’s good now. If I want my face smashed into the pavement by a piece of software, I can have that--and if someone wants ‘not that’, they can get it as well.
yeah, for me framerate is definitely a last priority with a game. But I tend to avoid stuff that lives and dies on graphics. I’ll take, say, a Slay the Spire over Uncharted or what have you any day.
I don’t approve of this, but Wordle sharing does annoy me. I’ve started telling people on facebook that the new COVID variant is transmitted through wordle posts.
I really wish it *was* an app, so it would be easier to block on facebook.
I’d actually been meaning to comment and ask how comparable the two games are. This sounds like it’s a pretty much what I’m looking for.
Oh man! this headline got my hopes up. I was hoping Waluigi was making a surprise appearance in a real Mario Kart game. Oh, well... maybe MK 9
better than de-boning him, I reckon.
Even the one flaw with 8 (the awful Battle Mode) was fixed in the Switch version.
I’d be ok if Sony and MS raised the prices of their consoles to $1K if it put guys like this out of business, or at least significantly thinned their herd.
MK8 is good enough that I have trouble envisioning what MK9 could do to top it. A new coat of paint, sure? More tracks? But in terms of actual game architecture? nah.
I’ll put it this way to bring it back full circle to the article: I loathe the sort of games-as-service, DLC drip, subscription plan, etc crap that I associate with both MS and ATVI. I would cut off my hand before I ever give them a penny for such nonsense.
Why would he even care? it’s been clearly demonstrated there are no repercussions. Kotick will get a high paying invisible job in the middle of MS’s management structure and everyone will keep buying xboxes and paying for game pass, because no one’s willing to put any sort of teeth behind their anger about this.
Two of my least favorite gaming companies...together at last. It’s like a turd that has grown big enough to become sentient. Well, at least I can avoid both of them with one fell swoop.
i watched the first ep or 2 and i felt the quality was roughly equivalent to Preacher.... kinda middling. Really depressing since I used to love those books.
