My private school required students, starting from 7th grade, to have a laptop. Back then, it was about 40% Windows, 60% Mac. By the time I graduated, it was about 95% Apple laptops. Plus, the school administration and tech guys themselves favored them.

Transformers or Shutter Island? Shutter Island was great and you should totally watch it (and it's on Netflix instant if you have it). I liked Transformers 3 too, but not in a "this is a quality film" way.
