The Koopalings (except possibly Larry) are also named after musicians, but I don’t think that’s very obscure.

I can’t think of anything particularly obscure, but in light of Jeb talking about Reznor, I suppose it’s worth pointing out the oldie-but-goodie bit of trivia that in the English version of Chrono Trigger, Magus’s three generals are named Ozzie, Slash and Flea (and are clearly named after Ozzy Osbourne, Slash from…
The ironic thing is, once upon a time a new mainline Final Fantasy game would totally have been a good enough reason for me to purchase a new console. Square Enix has managed to squander away pretty much all of that goodwill in the past couple decades though.
Don’t you all have phones?
I’m thinking Jordan Peele and Jonathan Frakes.
I’m sure a lot of it has to do with the way the company’s opinions have changed after the hacks, but Nintendo has always been bizarrely secretive when it comes to their internal procedures and processes.
Why would Nintendo not want this information shared? It isn’t a current project, it isn’t an embarrassment, it’s just an idea that didn’t go anywhere.
I can’t tell if this actually makes sense or if buzz-speak is a linguistic Rorschach test.
This is a ponzi scheme. It by nature requires new people to come into the system so others can get pay outs. You absolutely have to try and get new people in.
I agree that no one should but he as part of the company needs to try and convince more people to join.
The question he may want to ask himself, is *anyone* who doesn’t own a Bored Ape NFT excited for (or even mildly interested in) Bored Ape content? And even for the owners it’s only in the hope it helps market them to increase values. That’s a major gap to cross to get the general public excited about them, something…
He’ll collect his salary one way or another
LOL can’t wait for the schadefreude when this nonsense inevitably fails.
“No Sequels Ever” seems unnecessarily artistically limiting, since sometimes not only does the sequel exceed the original but the sequel manages to be among the greatest things in its category ever (Like the Godfather Part 2 or Mad Max: Fury Road)
You will be unsurprised to learn that this take is just as wrong about Bastion/Transistor/Pyre/Hades as it is about Final Fantasy 1-3.
So, I actually haven’t played any other Supergiant games yet (Though I do own Bastion twice over), but I’ve just got to interject this:
smh
I gotta go to the comments for video. Sheesh.
Thank you for sharing this. It does look a little stiff, but I’m totally down to see more of this attempt at Mignola’s chiaroscuro style in action.
And that was totally Lance Reddick.
Say it along with Phoebe Cates, folks: “The worst thing that ever happened to me was on Christmas …”
This reminds me how much I miss SimCopter.
