This in some ways is a direct threat to Deadspin, especially the top talent like Drew now that this site is not on good financial footing. There is blood in the water, and Gawker & co are scared. That explains most of it.

This goes right into John Oliver’s statement on how horrible scientific testing has become. Studies are never retried and they need to have something catchy to get future funding. No one clicks on the study, suncreen still a good idea.

Don’t worry about this report. Its based on a dislike of GMO and not science. This is a link from a couple of years ago, but the issues still persist today. You can hate the policies of Monsanto (etc) but the science is a different matter.

Except the EWG was proven as a fraud last year. Its more based on the we hate GMO world than science. I would much rather have scientists than politicans evaluate my suncare line.

Agreed, and the religation comment about Wigan is a bit unfair. He lost his best players every year and it took a while to get them on his system. I disagree, his system took a little while for players to learn and each year any of his decent players were sold off. His teams were significantly better at the end of the year each season than at the start.

Martinez is like the hot NCAA coach. He does an amazing job with Wigan. (Also if you look at their winning percentage at the end of muliple seasons, are the original lecister city great escape, except they got broken up at the end of the year)

The billboard/ ad on the side panel says Sky Sports the home of MLS. Does anyone in England or Europe watch the MLS and why on earth would they? The only reason to do so would be out of guilt/ duty, as the level of play is not nearly that of the top Euro leagues.

There are arguments for and against. The main argument for a playoff is that all top teams should be the minnows. However its how you play against the best that matters most. This coming from a Washington Caps fan who would be looking at a ton of trophies in DC if there were no playoffs.
