The thing of it is, we don’t know what the interior of this car looked like before the “aluminiuming.” I could have been unravelling and decrepit to the point of being beyond repair. I hadn’t even noticed the wonky gauge before, but now I can’t not notice it.
Probably a leaky valve cover gasket. The old cork ones werent very good.
