The pyromaniac Boy Scout in me is really curious to see what burning $38K looks like.
I’ve thought about this idea before. I feel that if everyone knew what it would be like to ride, drivers would at least be more empathetic to the rider. And if they start riding, bonus. Before I started riding, I never thought about what a rider goes through. Now, I can put myself in the riders’ shoes.

It is my understanding that the refueling probe will automatically disengage if stressed to a certain point to prevent damaging the probe and/or the refueling aircraft. How, then, was North Star able to “tow” the Phantom? Even if that safety can be disengaged, I would think that the amount of force on the probe…

Actually, as captains go, Janeway was excellent. Voyager probably had the best cast of any Trek show; sadly, the writing didn’t match up.
