It’s actually kind of surreal that a gaming ‘Thing’ got resolved so quickly and smoothly. Going from “hey, I noticed a thing” to the devs saying “weird! It was a mistake, we fixed it.” In such a short amount of time almost gave me whiplash. It’s refreshing.

My wife and I got back into WoW after a 7 year absence. We’re going back and doing low level dungeons and raids with our higher level characters because it’s not fun grouping with other people. Everyone is all rushing to beat the bosses and not taking in any of the lore. It seem too much like work if you do that.

I mean, this is pretty much the whole point. One of the major themes is if she can ever be considered human, and she reads, immediately, as not-human, in a society that thinks poorly of her. By having her look very human, but off, it’s a perfect exemplar of this struggle within the audience.
