I'm chronically ill, that's why the hip surgery. These doctors are rheumatologists, and neurologists mostly, so they do have a lot to deal with. I just wish they wouldn't constantly pressure me to lose weight, they are phenomenal doctors in every other way.

I've always liked that most laws in the end come down to what is deemed best between you and your Rabbi. Which really means what ever in your personal case it really needs to be. There are few hard and fast rules when it comes to peoples lives.

Really well said...

Thank you for writing this, it really highlights so many things. The need for better funded abortion care, better access to birth control, and what people can accomplish through working together in philanthropic organizations. I'm so glad that the Jewish women were there to help you, and that you were able to go back

So excited!!!

I lost about 60 pounds in my very early 20's. What was the magic secret, reconstructive hip surgery that let me to walk more then like 15 feet without severe pain for the first time since I was a kid. Yes food was part of the problem, I did go no a nutritionist and learn how to eat right. But being able to walk well

I love'd this video. It may actually get me to go see The Great Gatsby, something that never would happen on it's on merits.

But, he's our hero.

I went through something similar, my school pulled all sorts of illegal bs. I had to get a really killer lawyer, the terror in my guidance counselors eyes when he saw her name on the letterhead was wonderful!

I had this same problem when I was a sick teen in public school. I finally had to withdraw from school and enter a distance learning school that was specifically for sick kids, actors, and children of diplomats etc. The public school system did everything they could to make life as hard as possible and be as unhelpful

Oh I've had that, it's just ungodly in it's amazingness. We have a Brewster's down the block and I used to stop there after a bad day at work, nothing else would make you feel better then one of their sundays.

OMG, I love Stevie! I never knew my birthday was just one day shy of hers, it makes me feel so special. Happy birthday Stevie, you are the best!!!!

No, I just read the article about the family who lost the child to anencephaly. It is actually something my mother in law saw first hand, she has told me she never stopped having nightmares about it. I know that facebook is a place to share what is going on in your life, but as much as I grieve for their horrible loss

So happy for you!

Oh my god, he is so sweet! That is just so smart and lovely. Sorry ovaries bursting.

That has happened to me so many times to. I've tried to just not talk about it any more because I just can't stand the fake "Oh, but your different." You know they could care less about you. My family has made that abundantly clear. It's like the people who say I'm not racists but....

When the entire heathcare reform was starting and people were really talking about it on facebook all the time. My brother and cousin both Tea Partiers, started crashing my wall when ever I posted anything positive about the reforms. It was often since I feel very passionate about it because I have a pre exsisting

I don't understand why someone in the medical profession would never ever be able to assist in someone leaving this world because of bad health. I don't like the word suicide because it connotes ill mental health. There are illness out there that leave people in a tortured cage of a body, for animals we do the humane

I was doing some researching quite a while ago so don't quote me on this, but I think there are beginning to be inroads. I think Oregon had a Death with Dignity law for some for disease that are going to be fatal in the next three months. But I mean Oregon is just one state.

I am so so sorry you are going through this. I can't imagine such a struggle.
