He's clearly ok with that, but be sure to put your name on it. Then he'll have to write a better article.

And see I don't agree, because the last time this happened Apple was completely prevented from innovating because they were just struggling to remain in the market at all. All the innovations the author lists can be traced back to the purchase of NEXT not some sort of inspiration to innovate right away so they could…
You could have asked Microsoft the same thing back in the day. You know, when they ripped off the GUI from the Mac and almost put Apple out of business, completely preventing Apple from innovating while they tried to stay in business long enough to get Jobs back. And those innovations the author mentions? Those came…
Um the last time this happened Apple almost went out of business.
This one is completely impractical it is essentially a non-starter.
Yeah "the cloud" is distributed across many points geographically, which is why you hear about Apple building all these massive data centers. (And Google already has a freaking tonne of massive data centers).
Dropbox has in the past encountered errors where the database told the local daemon to delete the local files for an update, but there was no update so no files were pulled down. So backup the local drive as well. Because even data on your drive isn't safe.
You think that companies can't prevent you from playing games for which you have the physical media? Really? EA and Ubisoft(sp?) would like a word with you.

I'm Canadian, we like waiting line line or "queuing".
See I see bigotry primarily being intolerance toward any group based on some characteristic of that group that is out of their control, race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. And while the definition of bigotry is broader: "a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices;…
Would have been funnier if you said it the other way around...

Using the word bigotry here is a stretch.
Do you work for samsung by any chance?
iTunes, because I can redownload it all for free if a drive goes belly up. All my rips have to be backed up and the disked put in storage, whereas the iTunes stuff I don't worry about.
Also a warning, MHL is not yet standardized. It's proposed but not ratified. So anything you buy that uses it, which you would reasonably assume to work together, may in fact not work.
