The Gimp is awesome, and with Lion and Mountain Lion having fullscreen x11/xquartz support there isn't even the annoying click to focus then click to work issue (or you can even use single window mode in GIMP 2.8).

Menial labor tends to pay pretty well too, at least where I'm from. There are guys that hold construction signs for $97 dollars an hour and the people that replace the smaller road signs on the highway make $150 an hour.
