Not a troll, I just never understood her appeal to feminists. Even most women can't stand her. She's completely unqualified for her position, and only got there because of her husband, as you know perfectly well. Would you vote for a person like that just because she's a woman?

Hope for what? The only reason she's even in the position she is is because of who her husband is. And if she's a feminist example of a strong and powerful woman, it doesn't say much for feminism. She's a horrible, horrible person, and a cold, shrill bitch, even by feminist standards. It's not a good thing that there

Don't mix your drinks, especially beer and wine. Yuck. That gassy, bloated feeling you get from beer doesn't sit well with wine. You have to stick to one or the other.

If you're talking about Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit specifically, then they should stay faithful to the book. It's not right to add characters to Tolkien's original works just to satisfy some weird quota.

There is no issue. If a person of color feels uncomfortable because the characters in a book are extremely white, they are the one with the problem. I can happily read books from other countries and cultures, which feature entirely people of color, and it's not an issue for me at all.

That's exactly what I say when feminists complain about women being treated differently to men. Men and women are different, hence the different standard, although I don't see what reason there could be that would justify racism and sexism against white men.

It's the person who commented earlier, you were replying to the person who replied to her. But yes, if feminist thought was typical of women in general, I'd happily take away their right to vote. A stable, functioning, prosperous society is more important than universal suffrage and political correctness. In fact, I'd

I wouldn't have put it so crudely, but yes, a woman's ultimate purpose in life is to be a mother. That should be obvious and self-evident. It's her duty as a woman to be a good wife and mother. Women who apparently lack this feminine, nurturing instinct and choose not to have children can't be considered real women.

If people like Ginmar Rienne are the result of women's suffrage, then yes, it'd be better for the world if it had never happened.

Part of being an adult is facing up to your duties and responsibilities. What you're talking about is perpetual adolescence. This is exactly the problem with feminism and other whining minorities. It's an infantile temper tantrum.

Not really, no. Only a Professional Victim could deliberately ignore the context of a book in order to be offended by it.

Why wouldn't it be white? That should be expected. If you were watching a film about Samurai warriors in the 12th century, would you be shocked and offended that none of them were white men? Should movies about 12th century Japan, for example, be required to hire white men, since there's really no reason not to?

I've read books from other countries and cultures where white men are entirely absent, but this has never been an issue to me, so why should the absence of women or "people of color" be an issue to you?

There's a difference between excluding a gender, and not forcing them into situations where it's not appropriate or relevant, just to satisfy some politically correct quota.

When it's blacks, or Asians, or Native Americans, or feminists doing the discriminating, it's "empowering", it's "liberating", etc, or excuses are made. When white men do it, it's "racism" and "sexism". There's the hypocritical double standard which makes those terms illegitimate.

They'd have said exactly the same if it was a man. You have to admit the timing is a bit suspicious. In fact, I remember when Dick Cheney was in a wheelchair for a while, people accused him of faking it for sympathy.

What.....WHY?

I don't call it "racism" or "sexism", I call it what it is — human nature. Gender roles and discrimination between racial groups is instinctive human behavior. What I don't accept is that this is somehow a negative thing, or that we need to invent slurs such as "racist" or "sexist" to describe this normal human

Doesn't really bother me. Since the "rest of the world" is even more "racist" and "sexist" than I am, it'd be amusing to see you getting what you wished for.

Yeh, I was replying to accusations of racism that you brought up. Notice how I put quotes around it?
