@southernbitch: I have to agree with you on this. I'm not from New Orleans but my husband is and travels there on a weekly basis for business and family purposes. I, of course, am there a lot too and truly love that city. I'm hoping that this show will show a more balanced view of New Orleans. Unfortunately, I hear

I have a book just like that. I'll forget about it for months...then when I am particularly down, I'll find it and it does wonders for reminding me of all my blessings and all of the things that make me truly very happy. Life can never be seem too bleak when I have a good list of happy stuff...oh and occasionally

@MadamePamplemousse: Yea! I was so supposed to grow up and be Charlie. Not sure what happened, but loved those commercials.

@LucilleMcGillicuddy: Aha. I knew I recognized her. Wasn't she also the Charlie girl? I so wanted to be her....and I am sometimes in my addled little head.

Who is the girl in the red "Junior bazaar" jeans? I think this girl turned out to be a really famous model, but the name is just missing in my brain.

@trakkie: We apparently are calling her a prig. Not something I would want to be called.

For some reason that headline bugs me. Seems like namecalling.

And the guy behind him is just "Get out of the McWay!"

Profile of this artist in Marie Claire (yes, I know, shocking)...I think last month. Very interesting and hauntingly beautiful

Four years ago, my manly Italian (believe it or not) husband, quit his job because he wasn't "appreciated." Since then he has gotten really good at golf and I've started to resent it. Not proud of myself for that, but sure wish he had a small amount of identifying with his work. He sure identifies with my paycheck.

Overall the inheritance tax (on anyone not a spouse) is absurd. The person who died paid tax on on that was earned during their life. What right does the government have to tax it again so that it can be left to a loved one? It is nothing more than double taxation on every level. This particular situation is indeed

@Lymed: I hear you and agree...in a perfect world...my experience is then the stupid people running these companies find ways to run the victim off. Realistically, they can make your life hell. I don't suggest that you should not voice complaints etc., but it is naive to think that there will not be repercussions. So

What you have to remember is that the HR department works for the same company (possibly person)you are bringing claims against. It is their job to make it painful for a victim to report and succeed in getting anything done. The HR department's entire goal is to keep the company from being sued which almost always is

Only sad part about Eddie Bauer is that they are the only company I can find that makes absolutely everything is a tall version...including lengths of shirts, pants rise, etc. They were useful for only the basics...black pants, white shirts, tank tops etc. But at least I could count on them fitting this 5'11" frame.

This is just like the real ladies she represents...spoken as a native Dallasite. Have you seen that CMT show about how they make the team? You can be a fantastic dancer...but if you don't look just right in the "uniform" you are booted. This is no worse of a "role model" than the fact that these half dressed girls are

That is GLEE!!! Can't think of many other uses for that word.

@stealthird: You took the thought out of my head! Poor Button! So much cuteness to wrap up the week! Yea!

I would totally buy one if it wasn't quite so obvious on my desk. Yes, a blonde, natually dirty blonde, but I like it lighter. I pay to have it this way, so I can't complain about the jokes.

@dianersb: But she does wear heels sometimes. There was an episode where Marsha Mason's character commented on them saying "heels, interesting choice" insinuating that at her height she shouldn't be wearing heels. Personally, I'm easily 6'3" in a pair of mid-height heels and feel fierce in them. So I wish they would
