Like I said in another thread, it reminds me of the crappy 1998 version of Cutey Honey that completely changed the art style and the story to be just like Sailor Stars because that was what was popular at the time.

Yeah, pretty much everything interesting that you remember from the first season of the Sailor Moon anime wasn't in the pretty-terrible manga.

The show looks frankly like a cheap CLAMP knockoff.

It's the horrible art style of the original manga artist that the producers of the previous anime wisely didn't use.

Considering how little effort they put into the sequence that will appear in every episode, all the others will look like PS1 CGI, probably.
