I just picked up a Viewsonic GTablet for $300 (only $50 more than the nook). It has almost identical specs to the Motorola Xoom (minus Honeycomb) for literally half the price. If you want a cheap decent tablet I can't see a better deal out there right now. The stock OS that it comes with sucks royally, but it supports

Actually standing all day has it's own problems in addition to the stuff regann listed that happened to his mother. Spider and vericose veins, arthritis in the knees, and lower back pain, are just a few.

I've always had good luck with Avant Windows Navigator as well. In fact I've always felt it was the most stable, but it has been a while since I've tried other docks (couple years in fact). Once I got to AWN I stopped looking.

ROTFL (@lost arm in an accident and forgot how to do math)

Good for them. We can just download it from XDA and side load it, or from an alternate market source like Applanet, or Blackmarket Alpha.

I agree. The science behind it was very interesting.

Weep quietly into a small towel or napkin.

I obviously do not plan on making it my primary machine but I look forward to a Chrome OS netbook (CR-48ish) when they come out main stream. I was not fortunate enough to get a CR-48 in the pilot program but I have to tell you after playing around with my buddy's for about an hour I definitely see the benefit. I spend

I agree. There may not be much of a physical advantage to using multiple desktops, but it helps me feel less cluttered when I break up the programs across multiple desktops. I use it more on my laptop then on my desktop because I use the dual monitor setup on my desktop and I break the workflow up differently there.

That's not true. I always leave my GPS toggled off unless I'm using navigation or cardio trainer. I use Twitter all the time via Twitdroid Pro. I can tweet without GPS. It asked me the first time and I told it to not use location services.

Actually at my last job we had 3 laptops get their hard drives stolen. They left them and it wasn't noticed until a few days later when someone went to sign one of them out.

I Google'd your screen name for ha ha's and you weren't kidding. lol

I don't get why parents don't take the phones from the kids at night. We take our teens phone from her at 10:00 on school nights and she is not allowed to take it to school. She gets it after her homework is complete (until 10 like I said) and when she's going places so we can contact her, and even this is us being

For me it's the syncing ability (have it synced between 2 computers and 5 operating systems, as well as my work computer) and all the Chrome apps and extensions. I also love the push to phone feature. Click a button on the browser and BAM, it's on your phone to take with you. Firefox is ok but Chrome is the best (at

Windows 3.1 and 95 were what was out when I was still rocking my 286 with Dos 5.0 on it. Didn't have the money to upgrade. We got some decent programs for it though and I had it doing most of the basics for school and even some fun games. May not have been the most up to date or graphically appealing, but they suited

Thank you. i'm glad someone said this. It's an eReader, and a tablet. Heck they even got Honeycomb working on it now, all for a nice neat $250 price tag. Not bad and I'd definitely not be willing to pay much more then that. Might go up to $300 but that's the real top end and only if it does something that's really

I like this. Clean, and the over under dual screen setup is a nice variation to the typical side by side setup. Nice way to save on desk real-estate.

@adamatx: That would be bad-ass!

@siwex80: Did it on the Palm Pre a year and a half ago. I've since upgraded to an Evo, but have yet to see a phone multitask like the Pre did.
