Right now you have to attempt to qualify the first 26 races to be in the playoffs. They do give waivers for injury and in cases were a driver would have been at the race but missed to circumstances out of there control (Kurt Busch). With every change to bring in one new fan them seem to piss off two old fans. Pretty hard to gain any ground that way.

Last year was the first year that I really cut back because after seeing Kyle Buscch win the championship after missing the “regular season” I realized it was like baseball and basketball. A long season and only the last two and half  months mattered.

So it’s going to be like the All Star race when they tell everybody to hurry up and race before they throw a caution so that they can  group everybody up and make them hurry up and race some more.
