Nobody really buys anything if it’s just 1's and 0's. You’re renting. Even physical copies, you crack them open and all that’s really on the disc is a launcher for EGS or Steam or whatever. It sucks and it’s a trend that needs to reverse.

How could you know for sure that a game has this functionality? It would be trivial to hide it.

Actually, this has been tested. The preferred method of application doesn’t seem to matter. There’s a video on Youtube of a guy testing like...8 different ways people apply the grease and it makes no difference in any of the stress tests. As such, I’d just do a strip down the middle with this and it’d probably be fine.

It seems to me that these would be harder to get even coverage. I usually put a single large blob in the middle and use the heat sync pressure to evenly spread it. Would you have to do two swipes with this and hope there are no gaps in the middle?
