Sorry, I actually meant that as a reply to grok666. I actually agree with what you said.

Generating dynamic shadows through eye tracking and environmental sensors isn't at all like adjusting brightness based on an ambient light sensor.

"Working on" doesn't mean it is coming to market. It means someone, somewhere within Apple has been researching and testing this sort of technology. If they find an implementation that makes sense and fits their roadmap they'll do something with it.

I understand it's a big undertaking, but Microsoft is the largest software company in the world. You can't tell me that they couldn't have started work on a WinRT version of Office at the same time as they started working on Windows 8. In virtually every other area of software development, Microsoft has moved to

There is a lot of speculation that every Mac wil have a major increase in resolution this year. This is based on a while bunch of little bits of evidence that seem to be pointing in that direction. Many art assets are seeing resolution bumps.

Mmmm. Hamburger hat... I've got an experiement I need to do. I'll— uh- be right back.

That's a good point. It does look like some good work from Intel. But by the time their first SoC ships, ARM processors are going to be well past what they were showing off at CES. If they released today, they would still only be caught up with chips from last summer. I don't see Intel's mobile chips being competitive

Disclaimer: I have been a Mac user for six years now.

And they'll have fans and run hot? How will the battery life be? Anything like an intel laptop? No thanks.

What I can't believe is that they couldn't force the Office team to design a Metro native app. So much for design coherence as a company.

    They were sleeves for iPods.

Modern ones do. The earlier were quite different.

I seem to remember the late 90's fad following the release of the iMac. There were certainly translucent "bondi blue" type items before, but most of what I remember seemed like a response. I could be wrong though. I still wear plaid shirts and listen to the Wallflowers.

But... but... a whole bunch of people below and above you who don't understand much about valuation vs. performance say that Apple's going to burst.

Their share price relative to their profits and growth is still undervalued when compared to the valuation of companies that perform far worse than them.

Analysts have been saying that Apple's stock is bound for a crash for years. Meanwhile, Apple's profits relative to their market cap is still low compared to other tech companies. As long as they keep making the kind of profit they are (and keep growing their profit every quarter), they are worth every penny.

This is about stock prices, not their bank account.

I can one up you. I don't own anything. I don't support the establishment. I rent my underwear.

Not sure I know what this is.

    Very true.
