Zibby Allen was terrific in Season 2 of “The Exorcist”
The guy who played Walton Goggins’ weightlifting bully neighbor in “Vice Principals” posted something on twitter about being a nobody actor and I posted to him that if you can say you worked with Walton Goggins (in his case, several scenes) then you’re definitely not a nobody anymore, and I think he posted a smiley…
I love Elmore Leonard’s books and several movies. I’m in the minority re: I wasn’t wild about “Out of Sight” (I liked it okay, most people liked it a lot) but I like a lot of other EL adaptations. I didn’t know that re: “Road Dogs”.
Agree re: elevates it but disagree re: I can imagine other actors doing it differently, in their own ways, and well. As well as Rickman? We’ll never know but if they were half as good they’d be great!
One of my favorite TV shows ever. It was a great idea (and maybe this has been done before, I don’t know, but “Hannibal” TV show was the first time I’ve seen anything like it) to take liberties with the chronology of events of the source material and sort of sprinkle elements around here and there. Oh, and also Mads…
True re: wonderful actor, but not “only because,” I don’t think.
Hans Gruber in “Die Hard”

I love “BCS” too! But...
I’ve never heard of any of these people. No, wait, I liked “Snowpiercer” and I thought Chris Evans was very good in it. Also, I read somewhere that he’s going to be in the movie adaptation of “The Devil All The Time”, which is a terrific novel by Donald Ray Pollock, so I’m excited for that!
I enjoyed “Martyrs” because it did something interesting that I hadn’t seen before in a movie (I posted a long post with SPOILERS above) re: the antagonist learning a “there are some things we shouldn’t know” lesson... kind of like the Nazis getting their heads melted in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” but in a different…
“Martyrs” ***SPOILERS***
Yeah I was going to check that out but the whole pregnancy thing made me avoid it.
Good point, and looking back on it (it’s been a while since I’ve seen it) I think maybe I kind of liked that (the clumsiness, if that’s a word) about it.
I’m not a connoisseur of the genre (“Martyrs” is the only French so-called “extreme” I’ve seen, but I’ve seen and liked some of the Japanese and Korean stuff), so I don’t know how it measures against the average entry in terms of taking it in an interesting/unexpected direction, but I thought the whole third-act thing…
I don’t watch his TV show so it’s all good!
I liked “Martyrs”
