Having worked many years at a large corporation with various business silos, I am not surprised one bit. Heads of business units are arrogant little CEO-lites that are so competitive and distrusting of each other that I’m amazed whenever there is cross-business co-operation.

If I was being paid millions of dollars to drive for the most famous F1 team, which offers a legitimate chance at a world championship title, and just have to wear it to fulfill contractual obligations for a sponsor? Absolutely.

The cobblestones are nasty. Like baby heads with huge ruts between them. While the cyclists are running larger tires with lower pressure they are still skinny road bike tires. These cyclists are extraordinary athletes.
