When performance cars are outlawed only outlaws will have performance cars,

My dad had a Cutlass Supreme Brougham Coupe.  That thing was a pussy wagon in it’s day.  I had new step-moms every week.

I would if I cared.

Looks like the proper/healthy way to deal with this. It becomes an event you can no longer control; getting angry, yelling, etc, will do nothing to change the outcome at that point in time.

I wouldn’t just chalk it up to greed. A dealer has fixed costs—utilities, insurance, payroll, loans on property and inventory, etc. If you sell five cars this week versus ten last week those costs will remain the same. Likewise commissioned sales people. They still have rent or mortgage payments to make, mouths to

Or, you know...basic economics.

Like many others, my dad is a “car guy.” He was a hot-rodder in the 60s and when his parents gave him some money to get started after college he spent it all on a brand new 1969 Corvette 427 (which he still owns today).

Was anyone else convinced this was going to be an autobiographical post?

OK, first off, he says regularly commuting to see his parents, not daily.

Not cynical, reasonable.

Really twisting that pretty hard. What they donated to those people was a drop in the bucket compared to their overall donations to members of congress on both sides of the aisle. Toyota has a very large PAC, and donated more to democrats in 2020 than they did to republicans. You’re making it out to be a malicious

Is Toyota, the king of hybrids, going to offer a hybrid drivetrain or get left behind by Ford?

Just for some tech info on my last comment. Engine block design and the dyno chart compares the TTv6 output to a ~ 380hp v8. Biggest obvious take away is how much power it makes at low rpms.

Not even close to the 3.5 from the Tacoma. The only thing that those two share is the displacement. The 3.5 turbo is a completely different base, it uses a crankshaft cradle - meaning that the entire block splits in half at the crankshaft instead of using main bearings. So the bottom end of this engine is extremely

Well, the new Tundy is rumored to come with the 3.5 V6 out of the Tacoma, only this time with Turbos. That engine has already been used in various Lexus hybrids so there’s a good chance we will see a hybrid option for both of Toyota’s trucks in the near future.

You forgot the /s. Or did it intentionally to watch the shitshow in the replies lol

Which 1996 Honda motorcycle makes 121 hp and over 93 ft-lbs of torque, exactly?

Lol, I own and daily a 20 year old Honda rc51. The Harley is probably 20 times better to ride, and parts are actually available. I am not the biggest Harley fan, but this would be on the list of “I at least have to check it out” on my next bike.
