When I placed the order for my Ford Transit, my dealer told me I get the best rebate and/or financing deal Ford may offer between order date and delivery date.  But some incentives specifically say “dealer inventory” and I’m not eligible for those.

I ordered a vehicle February 6th (Ford Transit). It finally got scheduled to be built the week of September 6th. 7 months.  If I’m really lucky, I might see it before October.

If it’s anything like the Pan America, it will be lighter than it looks. The Pan America looks like it weighs about 9000 pounds, but is almost 60 pounds lighter than the BMW 1250 GS Adventure.

I’m a 3rd generation gearhead. Grandpa was an independent mechanic with a 2 bay garage right at the house. He built motors for the local short track scene. Dad raced go-karts when he was young, then got into drag racing, even won an NHRA Regional title in B Stock with his ‘66 Fairlane XL500. When I was a kid, we would

If you’re on XBox One or PS4, Rockstar has been able to keep the hackers away.  Old gen consoles and PC is a different story.

I haven’t looked at the numbers on the EcoBoost vs. hybrid F-150 to be honest. What is appealing is how the hybrid can be equipped to be a decent generator.  Like I said, my needs have changed so not looking like I would have otherwise.  Just waiting on Ford to get the parts in to build my AWD Ecoboosted Transit then

Exactly!  He can’t name 1.

Is this just a re-fresh of the existing platform or all new? Is Toyota, the king of hybrids, going to offer a hybrid drivetrain or get left behind by Ford?  My needs and vehicle fleet have changed, so I’m not looking for a new full size truck, but if I were, Ford is who would get my money with their hybrid.

You’re definitely using your bike differently than worst case scenario. I race mine in east coast enduros including NEPG and do the occasional GNCC too. Definitely hit the rev limiter on mine. I still got way more life out of my original top end and valvetrain than an MXer on a 250F using the rev limiter as a speed

WTF are you smoking? If you’re riding/racing off-road, a modern high performance 4-stroke needs a complete rebuild in as little as 50 hours depending on how hard you ride and where you ride. We’re not talking about a CRF250L used as an urban commuter here. My KTM 450XCW, one of the most reliable modern high

There’s a reason the 500 class 2-strokes died out. Unless you’re ripping dunes at Glamis or an old school natural terrain MX track, they’re just too much motor with a hard to manage power delivery. Oh, and they don’t “zings to the high heavens”. A modern 450 4-stroke is faster on an MX track and the 250 and 300

I guess it comes down to where you ride and what your goal is. I’ve owned 2 and 4 strokes ( currently have one of each). No doubt in my my mind that my ‘18 Husky TE250 (last year of the carb’d 2-stroke bikes before they got TPI) is more fun than my ‘19 Husky FX450 (EFI 4 stroke), but I am faster and get better results

This. I have an employee who does not believe in banks, always buys beaters and misses a day a month, if not more while his beater is in the shop. Between lost wages and repair bills, he’s spending more than he would on a loan for a reliable Japanese/Korean compact (current used market notwithstanding).

Just imagine how many more they could have sold if Ford had their shit together and could get parts to build them. My Transit has been on order since Feb 6th and my dealer is optimistic it will be built sometime in the next month or so. I know of other people on the Transit forums who have orders dating back to last

A friend just sold his ‘16 Mustang GT for $3K more than he paid for it 2 years ago.  He bought it as a fun 2nd vehicle and with the market being what it is, he decided to cash out now.  He had 2 years of fun essentially cost free (let’s not get into lost opportunity if he never bought the car and invested it instead).

Mine was Alan Kulwicki. I was a slightly nerdy kid who loved all things racing growing up and to see an underdog from Wisconsin take on the good ol’ boys from the south with his engineering degree and win a title was awesome! I still remember my mom telling me the news of his death as I sat at the kitchen table eating

My first thought with a birth year of 1975 was nothing being in the middle of the malaise era, but then I looked here Category:Cars introduced in 1975 - Wikipedia and learned the Porsche 930 and Ferrari 308 debuted in 75, so I’ll go with the 308 even though I can’t grow a decent mustache.

My first thought on the Ferrari setup is that they’re trying to cram as much on the steering wheel as they can to mimic their F1 race cars.

A meth head worth his (bath) salt should know that DPFs don’t have precious metals and are only worth sheet iron prices.

I run the non-ferrous/peddler side of a scrapyard in Ohio. State law for Ohio limits a retail customer to 1 catalytic converter sale per day. Also, my company in particular doesn’t pay shit for cats to peddlers because of the theft issue, the only cats we buy are from regulars who can’t be bothered to chase the better
