Who are you kidding, at least 1 of them will be left to rot out in the open in Brunei.

It’s certainly low rent compared to the cars we’re discussing here, but my ‘06 Mustang GT was awesome on road trips. Ride wasn’t too stiff, seats and seating position was very comfortable, and it had plenty of power to eat up highway miles. Did several long weekend trips from Ohio to Charleston, SC to hang with a

Above average income, sure, but not super wealthy. Super wealthy would never buy a 20 year old Ferrari, they buy a new one or a 50 year old one.  Annual operating cost wouldn’t be too bad as long as you’re not trying to DD it.

Have you done any research at all on how it all went down? Your replies don’t show that you have.

When you get offered a sweetheart deal to buy a company for pennies on the dollar that will allow you to have full control of the company and you pass it up, no one is to blame for that lost opportunity except yourself. If the UAW had bought in with the deal offered, they would have made Billions and have control of

Yeah, my point went right over your head. The UAW was offered a large enough share where they would have control over who the bosses were and who sat on the board. The employees would have become the bosses.

3rd Gear:  Gee, if only the UAW had taken advantage of Obama’s offer to buy GM stock on the cheap during the bailout, then it could be an employee owned company where they had control over plant closings, production allotment, etc...  But that would have been hard.  Much easier to be an adversary and get beneficial

Motorsports helmets use expanded polystyrene (EPS)foam as the protective barrier and football helmets do not. EPS compresses and does not return to it’s original shape, that’s why motorsports helmets are 1 and done and are supposed to be replaced every 5 years even if you don’t have a big hit. Football helmets use a

It was amazing. We took 7 days going west from Ohio, spent a week in Oregon with relatives, then took another week coming back. Saw most of the major geological and tourist spots along the I-80 corridor. It was incredible. It’s been 28 years since that happened and the memories are as vivid today as they were the day

They used to make smaller class A motorhomes. My dad bought a 22' Winny when I was in high school and it was perfect for our small family (I’m an only child). We took a 3 week tour of the US and it was phenomenal! We also used it for lots of shorter trips too. It was great when I was at track meets, gave me a place to

I’m caucasian, I laughed my ass off.

On the flip side, why beat up a nice car using it as a DD? If you can afford to have 2 vehicles, keep the nice car nice. It isn’t necessarily about residual value. But when you get to the point of having that weekend car in the garage, residual value does come into play if you’re comfortable, but not rich. Next spring

It happens. I bought an ‘06 Mustang GT new. The 1st couple years I did use it as a DD and my truck was my weekend vehicle, then I changed careers and my truck became my DD. The last year I owned my Mustang, I put less than a 1,000 miles on it.

4th Gear:  We not seeing the demand for copper show up in scrap prices, that’s for sure.  The price on copper is low and trending lower at my yard.

It’s with a much lower powered car, but my dad was an NHRA regional B stock champ in ‘67 with his ‘66 Fairlane with a 289 and 4spd. Rear gear was one of the few things you could change. Whether he geared it for 2 shifts or 3, the ET was the same because of the delay from the extra shift negating the added

Are you asking about the modern car with a DCT or the A/C Cobra with a 4spd MT? The modern car will benefit from a lower gear in the 0-100-0 scenario since the shift delay is minimal, but it has so much power that traction will be the issue even even at the 2-3 shift regardless of gear. so maybe it won’t make much of

This right here. The 0-100-0 stat is part of Shelby history. To not understand that when talking about the new GT500 and why Ford used it is to show a lack of that history.

Well, they are VTOL aircraft, so that makes sense.

Since he owns the car, doesn’t that change the case somewhat? He has paid Ferrari a considerable sum of money.
