I overlooked your post and added mine down lower. You're absolutely right. Perhaps it came too early before audiences were ready for it, but I think the acting, script and look of this film is pretty much perfect for its genre.

I've long thought The Phantom is terribly underrated as a fun superhero film. Perhaps it arrived at too early of a time, but I love the acting and look of this movie.
